QO97-02, an early-midseason semievergreen tetraploid, 28" high, 5" bloom. Parentage: (KATE CARPENTER X H. fulva 'Europa'). Photo by: Nick Chase.
Used in hybridizing, to bring the vigor of the triploid species into tetraploid plants. Very fertile, both pod- and pollen. Note the wideness of the petals and the variations in coloring from the species, even in the first generation.
