This flower is a result of my "ploidy-testing" hybridizing. NORMAN LEE HENNEL is registered as a diploid, but is in fact a tetraploid comprised of about 2/3 ED MURRAY and 1/3 other stuff, and it crosses nicely both ways with other tets. Thanks mostly to the ED MURRAY parentage, Rosocofsky is completely sunfast. It keeps that nice green throat all day, and it doesn't "slick".
This picture was taken about 3PM on a bright, sunny, hot and muggy July day. This is about as bad-looking as the flower ever gets in the heat.
This 1998 picture was taken about 7PM at the end of a hot day.
